For those who have already been following our news for many years there will be nothing new. It is our 4th time that we hosted a large-scale project like mission week. It always includes 3 basic elements: a creative invitation, lunch lectures in universities and an evening event in a nice venue. Year by year we tried to increase the scale of this project (it shows the success of the week, isn’t it?). In 2014 we focused on one university, in 2015 we already took three, and a month ago we did a mission in 6 universities at the same time.
Five years ago, CCX Ukraine introduced a new project– Mission Week. Many different events take place for five days on university campuses, and all events are focused on discussions of frequently asked questions about Christianity. Christian students want and are ready to talk about such topics with their groupmates and friends.
This year’sproject WHATIF…? Pursued these goals: to tell, share and explain why we are Christians, who Jesus Christ is, and what His teaching is all about.
The project WHAT IF...? continued all week in Kharkiv. Its main goal was to answer frequently asked questions about Christianity, topics that everyone has considered at least once in his life.
There was a big team of organizers behind the lectures and the program. Every day the team started at 8 am with prayer and breakfast together. After that, four teams began working right away.
The first day of the week-long project WHAT IF…?ended. Words, photos or even videos cannot convey the atmosphere and emotions of the day.
On Monday we held lectures at 3 universities. SerhiyGula, a lawyer and the chairman of the NGO “No bribery!” gave a lecture on the topic "The Origin of Corruption and Ways to Deal with It" at the National Law University.
The annual Bible & Life conference of CCX Ukraine took place near Kharkiv on October 13-16, 2017.
The conference theme was the lordship of Christ. For three days, twenty-five students had an opportunity to participate in seminars on this topic.The participants asked themselves “Is Jesus Christ the Lord of all spheres of my life?" "Does my life demonstrate a practical obedience to Jesus Christ and the Word of God?"
God was guiding us through the whole project “Christianity without Censorship 2” with His wise hand of providence. This large-scale project was held February 27 through March 3, 2017, at three major universities in Kharkiv on the same dates.
The title of the project implied that for Christian students, scientific knowledge of the world does not contradict faith in God but results from it. We oppose censorship of Christian thought at the universities.
Kharkiv citizens, we do not know if you had some plans for Wednesday night but there is a good and important reason to stroll along the street: ССХ Ukraine is throwing a Partner Party in Kharkiv!
So, the day after tomorrow in the intellectual bar “Lacan” (74, Pushkinska Street) all our friends get together – both present and future.
