One month ago the CCX Mission Week in Odessa ended.
During Mission Week Christian students encouraged their non-believing friends to talk about serious theological issues. According to Sasha Zhakun, the CCX Coordinator for the South Region and Crimea, Christian outreach activities in southern Palmira did not end with Mission Week. Here’s what is happening:
- Regular meetings with students, especially over the last two weeks;
- Tuesdays, a Bible study group using, “Luke - Uncover”, meets at the Christian Open University of Economics and Humanitarian Sciences;
- Also on Tuesdays, there is movie club at the local Polytechnic University.
“In addition, on Sundays we meet with our students for a little get-together,” says Sasha. “We have fellowship, drink tea and play various board games”.
Although these gatherings cannot be called large scale events (they are attended by 2 to 6 students), they contribute to building strong friendships.
Sasha asks that you join them in prayer for:
- Students who took part in Mission Week, that each of them would attend at least one CCX meeting;
- Building good relationships with students who are already attending groups;
- The work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of students attending the “Luke - Uncover” Bible study;
