The all-Ukrainian student conference SALT 2017!

The main event of winter holidays, which we have been waiting for the whole year, will take place very shortly (January 28 – February 2)! The all-Ukrainian student conference SALT 2017!

The main theme of the conference: Christianity and Culture.

Culture (Lat. Culture means «processing», later it was defined as education, development, values and beliefs). This notion can be defined in numerous ways and terms concerning all spheres of vital human activity. In general, culture is understood as a human activity in its various manifestations, including all forms and ways of human self-expression and self-knowledge, acquired by a person and community in general, including skills and abilities.

Does God care about human culture? Does God love it or hate? Is He interested in every aspect? Is there any point in wasting our precious time on creating something if “the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up”? (2 Peter 3:10) There are a lot of questions and we will be trying to find answers with the help of our main speaker, Sergiy Sudakov.

Furthermore, we will have seminars on quite sensitive subjects: “Christianity and Politics”, “Christianity and Ecology”, “Christianity and Sex”. Discussions promise to be heated and informative, useful in one’s own life and in reaching other students! Not to mention the chance to make a lot of new acquaintances, have fellowship, participate in games and other entertainment. And, of course, we will have a traditional mission in the city which is a good opportunity to dive into the unique atmosphere of Lviv!

The conference will be held January 28 – February 2, in village Briukhovychi, on the outskirts of Lviv, in the Pilgrim Cottage on the territory of the Roman Catholic Church seminary.
