Take part in a unique project “From the West to the East”!
The title speaks for itself: we are looking for students from Lviv who are ready to cross the country from the West to the East and, October 14-16, visit Kharkiv to spend three days with local students. We want not only to cover the geographical distance but also to bridge parts of our Ukrainian society, overcome stereotypes and get to know each other better. Students from Lviv will get an insight into the Eastern culture, see the beauty of the student capital of Ukraine and learn interesting facts about extraordinary people. In their turn, students from Kharkiv will be able to pass this route along with their Western guests and to talk personally to the representatives of Lviv culture.
Motto of the project – “Meetings that transform”. Our utmost desire is that this project and its program would really change us and our country. So, all these meetings are waiting for us in Kharkiv:
- A meeting with history – a creative excursion from legendary Mark Rosenfeld;
- A meeting with worldview – with an ex-political prisoner and Crimea citizen Hennadiy Afanasiev;
- A meeting with the unnoticed – photo-quest in special places of Kharkiv;
- A meeting with an intellectual – with a professor of one of the oldest universities of Ukraine, V.N. Karazin of Kharkiv National University;
- A meeting with the spiritual – mutual reflection on the Holy Scripture and what it says to Ukrainians.

The project organizers – Fellowship of Christian Students of Ukraine (CCX). We believe that real changes in our county are impossible if we do not change ourselves from the inside. Everything starts from ourselves! That’s why, besides the cultural aspects of the program are also included reflections on worldview and spiritualty.
